Overview

The GS 1200/3 follows the ALZMETALL-Gantry-Concept (AGK) and is constructed from Grey Cast Iron and Spheroidal Graphite Cast Iron. It features a Travel-System-Carriage with an incorporated Box-in-Box-System (patented) and 4-fold linear guidance for the X-Y travel-system-carriage and Z-axis with an integrated motor-spindle. Axis travels are specified as X-Axis: 1000, Y-Axis: 1200 and Z-Axis: 800, with Distance Spindle: Up to 966 mm. Machine-Table Load is 3000 and the product description specifies up to 3.000 kg workpiece weight including Clamping-Set-Up-Device. Maximum rapid travel X/Y/Z at TCP max.: 75; Cutting-Tool Interface: HSK-A63; Motor-Spindle-Power at CDF 25% max.: 50; Motor-Spindle Torque at CDF 25% max.: 187. Operating Supply Unit Set’s A, B, C provide cooling and cleaning circuit systems up to 80 bar high pressure with selectable Scratch-Type or Hinge-Type-Conveyor, plus a Coolant Cleaning Unit with Compact-Paper-Filter and a Mist Extraction Unit. Services and support options include Remote Diagnosis and Maintenance, Machining Center Acceptance, NC-Program-Training, Operator-Training for Heidenhain and Siemens, Installation and Commissioning, Process Development, Production Assistance, Service and Maintenance, Cutting-Tool Setting and Detection, Equipment for Graphite Machining and Custom-Made Solutions. The machine explicitly supports hybrid machining applications such as Drilling, Milling, Turning and Grinding at one Clamping-Set-Up. The specification states support for workpieces up to 3.000 kg including the Clamping-Set-Up-Device, aligning with those hybrid single-setup machining workflows.
