5GPP Series

Overview

The 5GPP Series provides complete pump systems to extrude high viscosity fluids from 5-gallon (20 liter) pails under high pressures to a dispense applicator or metering system. Systems are compatible with RTVs, silicones, and UV cure maskants and are custom configured and built to order. Standard pump systems are constructed of carbon steel and use a 20:1 ratio pump motor; stainless steel or carbon steel and ceramic constructions are available for chemical compatibility or resistance to abrasive fillers. Pumps are mounted to a pneumatic lift with a single lip follower plate that contacts the fluid and wipes the pail sidewalls as fluid is extruded. Fluid filters are incorporated to remove cured material and high pressure fluid regulators are used to eliminate pressure fluctuations and provide a steady flow of fluid to the dispense head. Complete systems are supplied with all necessary fluid and air fittings and high pressure hoses. Optional equipment additions include: - PVA-OP-11-P low level sensor - PVA-CROSS-A dual pump auto crossover system Dam & Fill is described as a two-step process of first dispensing a high viscosity fluid around the perimeter of a device or electronic circuitry and then dispensing a low viscosity fluid within the perimeter to fully encase the components. The dam can be applied as a single or multi-layer bead depending on the target fill height required. Masking is the process of applying a protective layer to a PCB's electronic components using fluid and gel-based solutions that do not come in pre-designed shapes. Staking involves dispensing a bead of adhesive to bridge a component and a circuit board surface to create an anchor for additional support.
