Free Standing Jib Crane

Overview

Three mounting styles are available: base plate mounted, Insert mounted (permanent), and sleeve mounted (removable). The crane includes a boxed style head, an independent head assembly that installs separately, and a head retaining pin that provides resistance to accidental upward dislodgement of the head. Full supporting triangular gussets minimize crane deflection to improve load positioning, and an in-head, enclosed bottom entry collector assembly allows the option to add power to the hoist for 360° rotation at the time of or after purchase. Installation requires a structurally adequate foundation unless the foundationless design is chosen, and there must be sufficient clearance above the boom (nominally 3 inches) throughout its arc. Accessories and add-ons include top and bottom entry air swivel, manual rotation stops, motorized kits, end stop kits, fusible disconnect switches, single or multi-position lock devices, and special finishes. Described as best for heavy duty, high productivity applications. It is presented for placement underneath large bridge cranes, in open areas to serve several work stations, in outdoor applications such as loading docks, and in machining and assembly operations where they can be overlapped with other jib cranes to provide staged operation.
