SLS 300

Overview

The SLS 300 is an affordable, turnkey Selective Laser Sintering (Powder Bed Fusion) 3D printer designed for office-friendly, plug-and-play use in smaller manufacturing environments such as offices, material research labs, and workshops. Build volume is up to (W x D x H): 12 x 12 x 12 in (300 x 300 x 300 mm) with a precision of 0.1 mm and a print speed of 12 mm per hour. The printer footprint is 0.45 sq. meters (4.8 sq. ft.) with machine dimensions of 170 x 75 x 60 cm and a weight of 310 kg, and it connects via Ethernet 1 Gigabit and uses standard power: (EU) 230V AC 10A 50 Hz / (US) 115V AC 15A 60 Hz. Key hardware and workflow features include a patented powder packaging system that prevents direct contact when filling the machine, cartridges that refill via a dedicated front inlet, an Atmosphere Generator for improved build chamber thermal control, a Wemote 13.3 inch touch screen with integrated camera and contextual help, and CE-certified plug-and-play installation that can be operational in less than an hour. Optional and accessory equipment described includes a Powder Recycling Station (PRS) planned for availability in 2025 with automatic recycling/mixing of unused powder, HEPA filters, and acoustic dampening, and a Water Jet Cabinet that uses 20 liters of recirculating tap water, requires no running water or drain connections, and produces a water jet up to 100 bars with built-in moisture control and water purification. Materials supported include production-grade nylon families with listed supported materials PA11 Black and PA11 Natural and references to PA11 and PA12 thermoplastics and filled nylons, and a SLS 300 Plus bundle is offered that lists the SLS 300 300 x 300 x 300, 12mm/hr, an Accessory Kit, Deep Space Software (first year), and an Essential Plus Toolset. The SLS 300 is described as ideal for offices, material research labs, and workshops and is explicitly positioned to enable printing of SLS-quality functional prototypes, tools, and small complex parts. Stated applications include Prototypes; Functional parts; Small complex parts; Parts for the automotive industry; Medical supplies; Pipelines and fittings for water pipes; and Industrial components. The system is presented to accelerate product development and in-house volume production by enabling remote start and monitoring of print jobs, completing an entire print job in 24 hours or less, and supporting a default build size for best quality PA11 parts of 250x250x270.
