CS II 300

Overview

The CS II 300 is a configurable high-density automated material storage tower from AMADA. It centralizes raw material and part inventory while minimizing manual handling. It is designed for integration with punch, laser, and bending cells and lists compatibility with REGIUS, VENTIS, ENSIS, ORSUS, EML, ACIES, EMK MII, and EM ZRT. Storage capacity is modular and customizable from 30 to 999 pallets and can be expanded from single row to double row layouts with stack heights tailored to material types and shop layout. Maximum load per pallet is up to 3,000 kg (6,610 lbs.). Supported sheet sizes are up to 3,050 x 1,525 mm for CS II 300 and up to 4,070 x 1,525 mm for the CS II 300/40 variant. The system uses AMADA FMS controller (ISC) for storage control and cell scheduling. A stacker crane transfers pallets between storage, I/O stations, and connected machining cells and has speeds without load of X-axis 2,500 mm/s, Y-axis 500 mm/s, Z-axis 440 mm/s and with load of X-axis 2,000 mm/s, Y-axis 300 mm/s, Z-axis 350 mm/s. The crane includes a weight control unit that can automatically count the number of sheets by cross-referencing measured weight with material data registered in the software. The input/output station automatically positions the sheet stack when loading new material onto a CS pallet to ensure alignment, and optional output stations and an optional pin table are available to support removal of base plates with micro-jointed material or scrap. The CS II 300 provides fully automated pallet management and movement based on production schedules, eliminating manual pallet handling during operations. It is positioned to boost throughput, enable 24/7 production, and scale cell-by-cell automation. The system serves as a multiType material buffer supporting raw material, finished parts, and skeleton/micro-joint sheets and can connect to AMADA machines such as L III loaders, PR III unloaders, R3015 TK, and MP Flexit to integrate with production cells. The stacker crane's weight control unit is provided to simplify inventory management by counting sheets via weight comparison with registered material data.
