MXFS Static 8FC w/catman

Overview

MXFS Static 8FC w/catman is an MXFS BraggMETER Interrogator Module and an 8-connector FiberSensing module of the QuantumX family. It accepts Fiber Bragg Grating inputs and supports transducers including strain, force, temperature, acceleration, tilt or displacement. Resolution is 0.5 pm and each optical connector can define up to 64 channels; connector type is FC/APC. Selectable scanning rates are 10 S/s or 1 S/s (all channels simultaneously), offered as High speed mode (10 S/s) and Normal speed mode (1 S/s). General connections are 2 x Ethernet supporting PTPv2 (RJ45), 2 x FireWire and a backplane connector; voltage supply is 10...30 V DC, max. 24 W (ODU), housing is Standard/Stackable/Backplane and degree of protection is IP20. The product includes a catman Easy software license and maintenance for 12 months and excludes power adapters and connecting cables, which must be ordered separately. Designed for use with Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors and transducers for measurements of strain, force, temperature, acceleration, tilt or displacement. The module supports defining up to 64 FBG sensors per connector with parallel, simultaneous acquisition across its eight optical connectors, and can operate at either 1 S/s or 10 S/s depending on the selected mode.
