Leica Pegasus TRK Neo

Overview

The Leica Pegasus TRK Neo is a long-range mobile mapping system with a maximum range of 730m and is available as Pegasus TRK500 or TRK700 in single- or dual-head scanner configurations, collecting up to four million points per second. The Pegasus TRK500 captures up to two million points per second in a single-line pattern, while the Pegasus TRK700 captures four million points per second in a crossed-line pattern. The SmartFusion camera system offers up to 120MP integral view with add-on front, side, and rear pavement cameras, and dual-position butterfly side cameras capture high-resolution vertical arches and horizontal features such as traffic signs or civic numbers. Integration of IMU and SLAM enables georeferencing in GNSS-denied areas, RTK enables in-field processing and direct data export, and real-time anonymisation can extract real-time anonymised data when exporting on-site from Pegasus FIELD or creating deliverables in Pegasus OFFICE. The carrier platform is ergonomic and lightweight, tilts and rotates to enable one-person mounting with single lever mounting for security; the control unit can launch 3D data pre-processing, add storage, share missions, and includes built-in AI for real-time privacy blurring; the battery unit comprises three fast-charging batteries with a colour LCD for real-time health monitoring and supports up to 3 hot swap batteries. Road Infrastructure Surveys: the Pegasus TRK Neo captures detailed data for road projects including pre-construction surveys, progress monitoring during construction, and pavement condition analysis for maintenance planning. Mining Site Surveys: the Pegasus TRK Neo captures data to monitor mining operations and terrain, optimise resource extraction, and ensure safety compliance. Smart City Modelling, Environmental Monitoring and HD Mapping: with long ranges and battery life paired with imaging and scanning for comprehensive captures, the Pegasus TRK Neo is used for mapping large-scale urban environments for strategic planning, development, and sustainability projects; it supports quick and comprehensive repeat captures to track land-use changes and terrain conditions, including floor risk assessments and land-use studies, and captures road and infrastructure data used to generate high-definition data for simulations and advanced 3D maps such as base maps supporting autonomous driving.
