Overview

Pangborn Crankshaft Descaler Machine (Model CD) is designed to treat cast or forged crankshafts at a high production rate. Units can be configured with one (1) to three (3) blasting stations and use a table/carousel fitted with rotating disc supports; table diameter can be sized to meet crankshaft length, including large size crankshafts. The machine can be equipped with up to six (6) 60HP (45kW) blast wheels arranged on the top of the cabinet. Workpiece dimension: Length 1'0" – 2'7" (300 – 800 mm), diameter up to 1' (300 mm) approx. Construction is P-41 Alloy and Steel. Genesis Wheel technology provides abrasive control, improved flow, enhanced durability, high/low/variable speed options and ease of maintenance. A high efficiency separator delivers consistent blast quality, optimized contaminant removal, paint savings, and improved abrasive life. Electronics package options include Basic, PLC/Touch Screen, and PC based systems with remote connectivity and back office integration and data collections. Machine specific features include adjustable disc holders and optional robots for loading, unloading, and feeding step V conveyors with adjustable pitch. Used for descaling and sand removal of cast or forged crankshafts. The equipment is intended for high production rate processing. The system supports batch or continuous processing and can operate in high volume single pass through or batch cycles that can be integrated into a production line; handling can be rugged for heavy duty work or smooth and shockless for fragile work.
