Overview

FFThemtec Twinstep 100 is a roller hemming head with two rollers running one behind the other, performing two folding steps in one robot movement to produce a flat fold. The pre-fold roller is permanently attached with folding force controlled via robot program, and the finish folding roller is pneumatically movable with folding force controlled via a proportional valve. Variant: 2R; dimensions 220 mm x 200 mm x 360 mm; weight 11 kg; ambient temperature 10 - 40°C; air humidity 5-95%; standards EN ISO 12100-2:2010 and DIN EN 4414:2010. FFThemtec Twinstep 200 is a roller hemming head with two pairs of rollers running one behind the other, performing two folding steps in one robot movement for doors, front and tailgates and for producing flat, drop or special seams. Rollers 1, 2 and 3 are pre-fold rollers that partially fold over the flange and roller 4 is a final fold roller that closes the flange completely (flat or drop fold). Variant: 4R; dimensions 225 mm x 200 mm x 365 mm; weight 12 kg; ambient temperature 10 - 40°C; air humidity 5-95%; standards EN ISO 12100-2:2010 and DIN EN 4414:2010. Both models attach to a robot with a robot adapter plate, are suitable for steel and aluminum, use a standardized modular system, include an M23 connector, 19 pin, have an integrated pressure load cell and are compatible with the HA 130 RC roller cleaning system. Twinstep 100 is used to produce a flat fold by executing two folding steps in a single robot movement with a roller hemming head composed of a pre-fold and a finish folding roller. Twinstep 200 is used for hemming doors, front and tailgates to produce flat, drop or special seams by performing two folding steps in one robot step; the successive hemming rollers arrangement reduces process time by carrying out two hemming steps in one robot movement. The TwinStep 100 and TwinStep 200 can be used in various combinations and the hemming heads can be adapted to specific project requirements.
