Model Overview & Specs
Overview
Semi-automatic modular vertical slab storage system for marble, granite, mineral surface and ceramic slabs. Breton Vertika is described as a simple, self-installing solution adapted to the space the customer has available and designed to maximise the number of slabs stored in the smallest available space. The system creates a single corridor next to a selected element by exploiting mobility of the elements. Each element is equipped with a foot operated crank arm to release the adjacent element and the store includes a patented coupling/decoupling system and a quick coupling / uncoupling system. The horizontal supporting surface of each element is composed of 4 wooden supports, the vertical slab-holding rack is pivoted at the base, and the horizontal and vertical supports are both inclined by 5°. Element uprights are fitted with anti-damage felt protections. Vertika is protected by safety light curtains on the sides and safety barriers at the two ends, and a control unit equipped with sirens and flashing lights warns of slab store movement and possible faults. The store is designed for use with lifting and handling devices such as an overhead crane equipped with spreader beam and slings for slab packs or grippers for single slabs. The base frame is a track subdivided into a section for movement of the motorised element and a second section for mobile elements, anchored to the floor by locking plates without requiring foundations, and the vertical elements are supplied preassembled and installed on the slab store tracks. A listed technical value is 1,1 KW. Designed for storing slabs of marble, granite, compound stone, ceramic and terrazzo, Breton Vertika provides vertical storage and organised slab access. Stated application/processes include Storing, Compound stone, Stone primary processing, Stone fabshop and Ceramic. The system supports loading and unloading operations using lifting and handling devices such as an overhead crane with spreader beam and slings or grippers for single slabs.
