PVK350 Photovoltaic Test Kit

Overview

The PVK350 photovoltaic kit includes the Megger DCM1500s solar clamp meter, the PVM210 irradiance meter, two pairs of MC4 solar test leads with standard 4 mm plugs, adapters for MC3 connections, and a hard storage carry case. The PV adaptor leads are rated to 19 A 1000 V and the red and black leads include 4 mm terminals and MC4 connectors. The DCM1500s measures up to 2000 V DC and 1500 V AC, measures currents to 1500 A AC/DC, has a 42 mm jaw diameter, and its safety category ratings are CAT II 1000 V AC, 1500 V DC; CAT III 1000 V; and CAT IV 600 V. The DCM1500s provides resistance, capacitance, and frequency measurements, is True RMS capable, includes Bluetooth connectivity compatible with the Megger Link App, and the PVM210 provides irradiance readings in W/m² (Watts per square meter) and BTU (British Thermal Unit). Both the DCM1500s and PVM210 ship complete with two batteries and the PVM210 is pocket-sized, combines solar detection and metering for single-handed operation, and includes a universal camera thread for fixed mounting. The PVK350 kit is designed for the testing, installation and maintenance of solar/photovoltaic installations. The PVM210 gives fast, accurate solar power readings to help choose an initial optimum position and can be mounted via its universal camera thread for constant readings or used single-handed on elevated or sloped work areas. The DCM1500s enables testing of current within each "string" of a large solar array without cable disconnection by measuring AC and DC currents up to 1500 A and voltages up to 2000 V DC and 1500 V AC, and Bluetooth compatibility with the Megger Link App allows remote viewing and starting data capture and logging. Both instruments include two batteries so they can be used immediately on site.
