Tube Rater is described as an economical tube reader for ASTM D3241. It allows qualitative comparison of heater tube film thickness to an accepted color scale as per D3241. The instrument includes a convenient automatic light switch that allows the operator to use both hands when evaluating a tube and that shuts off automatically to protect the light-sensitive standard. Used to perform qualitative comparisons of heater tube film thickness against the accepted color scale specified in ASTM D3241.
