MULTUS B750

Overview

The MULTUS B750 is the largest in the MULTUS family of horizontal lathes and is equipped with a B-axis head. It has a maximum turning diameter ×41.34 inches (1050 mm). Spindle nose type is A2-11 and speed range is 11-2,000 min⁻¹. Standard power is 50/40 hp (37/30 kW) and rapid traverse is 1,575/1,575/1,575 ipm (40/40/40 m/min). The machine includes high-power, high-torque turning spindle and milling tool spindle, highly rigid construction, and Thermal-Friendly Construction to assure consistent accuracy. It features the industry's first Collision Avoidance System software and uses OSP-P open-architecture control; the OSP-P500S control is designed specifically for multitasking machines. Specifications shown are for OSP-P500 configuration. The MULTUS B750 is used for full process-intensive machining of large-diameter, long workpieces. It supports process-intensive boring with full use of the opposing spindle and long boring bar. The machine is intended for multitasking machining that combines turning and milling operations under OSP-P/OSP-P500S control, with Collision Avoidance System software that can run the entire machining simulation to catch potential collisions before they create scrap or damage the machine.
