Overview

The Switchback GF (Glue Former) Series Tray Former handles a variety of glue-formed trays and cartons. Dual heads are available, and quick-change tooling sets allow multiple tray sizes to be run on the same machine. The series features controlled, auto-advance carton magazines, easy-to-maintain dauber style glue dispensing, and operates with one main drive motor for simplified maintenance. Allen Bradley VFDs provide the ability to control forming-head speed for rapid return strokes and gentler plunge-forming of the blanks, and Allen Bradley PLC control with an operator touch screen and rugged frame design are included; the machine runs both chipboard and corrugated materials and is described as rugged with a low maintenance glue system. Sample packaging applications listed include craft beer, caffeinated drinks, carbonated drinks, kombucha, Slezers, and wines.
