Eaton Corporation plc
Model Overview & Specs
Overview
The Power Xpert 9395P High Performance UPS is part of Eaton's 9395 UPS family and delivers up to 20 percent more power than the original Power Xpert 9395 while fitting within the same footprint. It uses a three-level converter topology that operates components at less than half the stress of a conventional converter, reducing energy losses and allowing higher power efficiency; efficiency is 99% with Energy Saver System and up to 97% (480V) and 96% (600V and 400V) in double-conversion. Power ratings are 200-1200 kVA (UPS rating kW values identical to kVA values listed: 200, 250, 275, 300, 400, 500, 550, 600, 675, 750, 825, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200) and voltage options include 480V, 400V or 600V. Input characteristics include voltage 480V standard and 400V available, voltage range +10% / -15%, frequency range 45-65 Hz, power factor 0.99 (minimum), and input current distortion <3.5% (no input filter required); output characteristics include voltage 480V standard and 400V available, regulation ±1%, PWM inverter with IGBT switching, THD <2% (100% linear load) and <5% (non-linear load), and load power factor range up to a .9 power factor leading without derating. The system supports parallel configurations (4 UPS units maximum for distributed bypass and 8 UPS units maximum with SBM), is N+1 redundancy capable, field upgradeable, includes a system bypass module, and provides a color touchscreen control panel; other standard features include battery startup, frequency conversion and multi-language support with 5 galvanic-isolated building alarm inputs. Battery compatibility and charging: battery types VRLA, AGM, wet cell, battery voltage 480V, temperature compensation optional, charging method ABM technology or float selectable. Audible noise is listed as as low as 75dBA @ 1 meter; altitude limits are 1000m at 40 degree C (104 degree F) and 1000m at 35 degree C (95 degree F) when UPM capacity is above 275 kW; overload capability is 110% for 10 minutes, 125% for 2 minutes, 150% for 15 seconds. Dimensions and weights vary by rating; examples from the product data include: 225 kVA, 275 kVA: 52.4"w x 32.7"d x 73.6"h (1786 lb); 225 kVA redundant, 275 kVA redundant: 73.7"w x 32.7"d x 73.6"h (2875 lb); 450, 500, 550 kVA: 73.7"w x 32.7"d x 73.6"h (2977 lb); 650, 750, 825 kVA: 140.9"w x 32.7"d x 73.7"h (5065 lb); 650, 750, 825 kVA +1 redundant: 170.2"w x 32.7"d x 73.7"h (6365 lb). The 9395P provides management and monitoring capabilities intended to give easier access to detailed status information, optimize server virtualization through power management and connectivity software, and increase uptime with 24x7 remote monitoring and reporting capabilities. 600V UPS models are available to eliminate the need for an external transformer. Eaton lithium-ion UPS battery systems are listed as compatible with the 9395 UPS family. The product information highlights lowest total cost of ownership benefits that include reducing power and cooling, conserving data center floor space, and reducing cost and unexpected future growth risks.
