HR 600 P

Overview

The Ersa HR 600 P hybrid rework system has dimensions 1,450 x 800 x 600 mm and a weight of 110 kg (128.5 kg incl. SC 600). Nominal power is 6,300 W (incl. Scavenger 6,700 W). It handles PCB sizes up to 380 x 300 mm (+x) with an option up to 642 x 423 mm (+x), and component sizes from 1 x 1 mm to 60 x 60 mm. The top preheating uses hybrid radiators, 800 W in two zones covering 60 x 60 mm, and the bottom preheating uses an IR emitter over 380 x 380 mm. The system provides large-area IR underheating with three zones and a bottom heater configured with nine radiant heaters. Typical working distances are 30-60 mm to the top heater and 35 mm to the bottom heater. A high-precision axis system delivers axis accuracy up to +/- 25 µm and is paired with high-resolution cameras. Placement camera (top) is a 5 MP GigE color camera, component camera (bottom) is a 5 MP GigE monochrome camera, and the reflow process camera is a 6.3 MP CMOS GigE color camera with 50 mm focal length and adjustable 2x LED illumination. Automation features include automated component placement, soldering and desoldering processes, non-contact temperature monitoring, and three K-type thermocouple inputs for AccuTC sensor, with effective component cooling using compressed air. Compressed air connection is to be provided by the customer, oil-free, ¼ inch, 6-10 bar. The system is controlled by HRSoft 2 operating software. Optional AUTO SCAVENGER SC 600 provides automatic, contactless residual solder removal and can be retrofitted and fully integrated into HRSoft 2. Article numbers include 0HR600P for Ersa HR 600P with PCB holder 380 x 300 mm (+x) and 0SC600 for SC 600; this product may be protected by U.S. Patent No. US10217211B2. The HR 600 P is stated to be particularly suitable for SMD components with very fine grids and reliably processes small SMT components and BGAs up to a size of 60 x 60 mm. The system provides automated soldering, placement, desoldering, non-contact residual solder removal, and non-contact temperature monitoring for precision rework and component replacement. Ersa describes the HR 600 P as enabling smart component repair, noting that repairing assemblies with Ersa rework systems saves costs and helps the environment.
