Portable Dissolved Oxygen Meter: OxyQC

Overview

The Portable Dissolved Oxygen Meter OxyQC is available as OxyQC and OxyQC Wide Range with measuring ranges of 0 ppm to 4 ppm and 0.015 ppm to 45 ppm, respectively. It uses a high-resolution optochemical O2 sensor and delivers O2 results in 50 seconds. The sensor achieves a repeatability standard deviation of ±2 ppb (OxyQC, in range <200 ppb) or ±20 ppb (OxyQC Wide Range, in range <5 ppm) with resolutions of 0.1 ppb (OxyQC, in range <100 ppb) and 1 ppb (OxyQC Wide Range). Operating conditions are −3 °C to 40 °C (27 °F to 104 °F) with an accuracy of ±0.2 °C and 0 bar to 10 bar absolute (0 psi to 145 psi) with an accuracy of 0.01 bar. Sample volume requirements are >100 mL for OxyQC and >150 mL for OxyQC Wide Range. Measured units supported are ppm, ppb, hPa, mg/L, µg/L, % Air-sat., and % O2-sat. Data memory holds 500 measurement data sets and built-in functions include an O2 Data Logger, threshold value functionality, and a system check. The instrument offers up to 11 hours of portable use on an integrated rechargeable battery and has IP67 leakproof protection. Communication interfaces include 1x RS-232 and 1x USB with optional RFID and Bluetooth; RFID tag reading can change measurement settings. Dimensions are 262 mm x 209 mm x 176 mm and weight is 1.7 kg (3.75 lbs). Available accessories mentioned include PFD (Plus), SFD, carrying strap, RFID tags, printer, rubber protection, sensor heads, hoses, and cables. The OxyQC instruments are intended for dissolved O2 determination that is unaffected by other dissolved gases and can be used for portable at-line measurements from process lines, tanks, kegs, or casks during production or as a stand-alone device in the laboratory. The meters are explicitly used for precise beverage analysis of beer, wine, juices and soft drinks, and for water. Samples can be transferred directly from packages into the measuring chamber without O2 loss by combining the meter with the PFD filling device, and FillingCheck™ automatically detects filling errors and generates a warning. Continuous O2 measurements from a line or tank are supported by the built-in O2 Data Logger, and clear sample identification for 500 traceable measurement results enables data traceability with printing via Bluetooth or transfer to a PC via USB.
