Overview

Modular, expandable Body-in-White framing system using overhead-mounted inverted robots across up to 6 dedicated framing gates, supporting up to 18 robots for high-speed, high-density car body geometry setting in automotive BIW stations. Inverted overhead mounting removes floor-level obstacles, reduces the production cell footprint, enables multi-sided body access, and improves part presentation. The architecture increases the number of joints achievable per station while supporting high dimensional stability and geometrical accuracy of assembled car bodies. Framing systems are typically the highest-precision station in a BIW line, establishing the dimensional reference for the entire body.
